Hitchhiker Shawl.

Started on the 15th and finished today, the 20th!
How's that for cruising along.
It's just soooo easy to knit up. I'm tempted to cast on for another one.

I'm having a hard time putting this shawl down. It's such an easy patter and I just love this yarn,
Mini Mochi in this color way.

Also started a Hitchhiker shawl KAL.

WIP.

My very first toe up sock adventure.

Using Lion brand Sock-Ease in an awesome colorway for the hubby.
Did not like the Judy's Magic Cast-On only because I'm so bad at it.
Like I need another WIP. *sigh*
I do love these Addi Lace 40"er's. Just really nice for magic loop socks :)

I am a knitting machine these days.

New yarn for the Hitch a rainbow with Fru & Kate KAL over on Rav.
The pattern is Hitchhiker Shawl.

Jitterbug in Raspberry colorway by Colinette. Very hard to photograph. It's not really as bright as it's showing up here. Hopefully, when I start the KAL on the 15th of May, begin knitting with it, I'll be able to get a better view of the color.

Just uber dreamy, stuff :)

done. I've been wanting to make something like this for a while.
I buy a lot of luscious & wonderful handmade soaps on Etsy.

This will be an awesome way to use them :)

I just modified the pattern from Coffee & Cream's blog so when folded, I'd have a square.
Used some heavy jute to weave around and draw up on the upper corner to a button I sewed on.

This now holds my Totally Pumpkin soap I purchased from Rocky Top Soap Shop on Etsy.

This is a wonderful shop with absolutely divine, natural, soaps. I highly recommend their products!

One (slightly) modified Harvest Dew Sock.
Yeah, patterns and I don't get along. I swear, reading the pattern, correctly, is the hardest part
of knitting.
Instead of starting the foot pattern where I was supposed to to, at the top of the foot, I started it
at the beginning of the gusset decreases. So, I just went backwards and reversed the pattern for
the top of foot where I should of actually begun it. Got it??
I still like how it turned out.
And, I just started this on the 26, and finished on the 30th. So, yeah, pretty quick.

Finished the heel flap last night. Started on the 26th.
I am crazy enough to think that maybe, just maybe, I can finish this pair by the end of KAL
on the 30th?
They do knit up uber fast ;)

Harvest Dew socks from Rose Hiver Designs

Started 'em yesterday. Could NOT resist.

Fortissima Socka Mexiko color.
So in love with this color way. I've had this in my stash for such a long time. Guess I
was waiting for the perfect project :)
Apparently I have been watching way too many knitting pod casts and everybody has like any where from three to five things on the needles.
So much fun...so little time!

My Rill Scarf.

So, this pattern calls for lace-weight, 2 ply. I tried that, exactly. It looked
ok, but I didn't really like how the design elements looked, sorta lost with
not a lot of shape. And there was literally, no drape. It was just a whisper of
a thing that would of floated off at the first mild breeze.
So, I tried again with Heritage sock and really like it. My only complaint would be
that you can see each wedge section clearly defined by the short row shaping.
I'm hoping that some good, probably very good, soaking and blocking might alleviate
some of that. If not, it will be an added design element, right?
Using a size 1 sock straights, I've got the same measurements for the widest width
the pattern call for! Yeah, me :)
Also, I'm not *that* crazy about the color, but it was what I had on hand and I
really wanted to knit this up, so....
After these shots, my camera battery decided it was tired.
I also started Chaleur in a pretty gray Cascade 220.
Will edit to add those.

The Tethy's shawl.
Not at all happy with it. Came out way, way to big. Gauge was spot on but I think
it the yarn. Cascade 220 is a wool blend. I think I need to use something with a bit
more body to it.
Plus, the pattern, for me, was ... strange.
Words like 'total' would of been so helpful.

Even if I took the time and effort to block this, that top would still roll like ca-razy!

And, yeah, this one's getting frogged.
Bah and humbug.
I chalk this one up to a learning experience on pattern choosing and/ or reading.

Oh, oh do I love thee?
Way, way too ~*%# much.
Yesterday I was perusing said site and discovered something I'd not seen before.
*imagine that*
I took a library tour. I found that you can add all your books and magazines,
even leaflets, to your library and have all those patterns right there at your fingertips.
Who knew? Why hadn't I seen this before?!
All. of. them. All those lovely little patterns.... yeah, I know!
So, that's what I'll be doing today. I've got them all organized, so it won't be that difficult a job.
It will however, take some time.
I have a lot.

And well, yes, I did find some new patterns to add to my favorites as well.

I couldn't help it.
I browsed the pattern & thought, I have the yarn for that, and before I knew it I'd casted on and finished the first chart.
I seem to do this a lot.
And I do mean before I even realized what I was doing.
*sigh*
So much for my pledge to only have on thing going at a time.
